Three steps to a sustainable packaging solution

Electronic vehicles, organic foods, or energy-saving appliances: Sustainability is required and is becoming an important competitive factor for businesses. This is especially true when it comes to packaging. More and more consumers want to do good things when shopping, so they prefer eco-friendly packaging products. According to management consultants, according to PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC), about three-quarters of supermarket customers. Here, try to purchase a product with as few outer boxes as possible. Also, what applies to supermarkets applies to online mail orders. According to PwC, for example, 25% of consumers can imagine a reusable system here. Bubble Wrap Day will show you how to treat paper, recycled materials, and even large amounts of air to optimally protect your products, protect the environment and add value to your customers. Three Steps to an Eco Friendly Packaging Solution:

High Air, Low Waste: Eco-friendly Decoration with Air Cushion

Always pay attention to the entire logistics process when deciding on the right packaging material. Paper packaging can reduce the waste of plastic, but the material is often heavier than plastic and requires more energy to transport. On the other hand, smarter plastic packaging is more sustainable. The air cushion is made up of 99% air and only 1% of eco-friendly HDPE film. This leaves only 1% of the waste and can be recycled. Air cushions are about as light as air. This has a positive effect on transportation costs and ecological balance. Ratioform provides ready-made air cushions with a practical dispenser. Alternatively, use the CELLO air cushion machine to fill the cushion directly in the field. This saves transportation and storage costs.

Paper Instead of Plastic: BioPackage

Paper as the packaging material is a good alternative if you want to do without plastic in the package. Among other things, recyclable kraft paper provides protection for light commodities in transit, crumpling as a filler material or wrapping as a paper snake. Paper shock absorbers such as PadPak are also suitable for packing heavy and sensitive products. With the help of the PadPak Junior machine, the material is processed into wrinkled paper snakes and can be used as screws, corner protection, or as a flat in a box, as padding for any packaged item. Speaking of bubble wrap day, we recommend corrugated cardboard rolls instead of banging packaging. The highly tear-resistant cardboard is stable and acts as an ideal shock absorber to protect surfaces, edges, and corners.

Recycled Package: Intelligently Recycled

A package made of recycled materials protects the environment in two ways. It helps reduce waste and ensures that new materials such as oil and wood enter the cycle. For example, use wrinkled paper. It is made of 100% recycled paper. Alternatively, put the floatPak Green package chip in the box. Innovative fillers consist only of recycled polystyrenes, such as old CD cases and polystyrene parts. Another special feature: flobak green chips are the world’s first biodegradable polystyrene chips. Thanks to the addition of ECM, they turn into carbon dioxide, water, and humus during composting for 9 to up to 60 months, without heavy metal residues or chemical pollutants.
