Sustainably tempered – thermal packaging made of hemp
Isolate food 100 per cent naturally.
Whether as clothing or as a remedy: hemp is used for many purposes. At the same time, the packer also discovered this plant himself. The advantages are obvious: it can insulate goods, protect them from impacts, and it is an environmentally friendly material.
Anyone who thinks hemp is just a narcotic does not do justice to the plant. Hemp is one of the oldest cultivated plants in the world. People have been using this plant for at least 10,000 years, be it medicine, clothing, or food. Hemp even has historical significance: Gutenberg’s famous Bible was printed on hemp paper in 1455.

A true crop
The plant thus proves to be particularly diverse in its use. But why use industrial hemp as insulating packaging? First, the material has low thermal conductivity, similar to polystyrene. No wonder that it has been used as an insulating material in the construction process. The thermal packaging made of hemp allows food and other products, such as medicines, electronics, or paint, to be refrigerated safely, hot or cold. You can use them with dry ice for shipments frozen to-18 °C and in the range of 0-4 °C or 2-8 °C.
It is also suitable for temperature control of warm consignments. Made of natural fibres, the insulating material can also “breathe” and regulate the humidity generated by condensation. In addition, hemp fleece provides shock absorption, thereby protecting sensitive and fragile products.
Pack your products in hemp and use particularly sustainable materials. Because no matter what is produced from the plant, it has been convincing with the exemplary ecological balance in the cultivation process. For example, it removes more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere than it releases from crops and transports it to processing plants without the need for fertilizers or plant protection products. As the plant shade too much, weeds cannot grow. At the same time, hemp can also improve soil fertility. It grows quickly. Up to four centimetres per day so that it can be processed quickly. The fact that the plant can be used almost 100%, whether for clothing, food or medicine, further enhances life cycle assessment. Due to its natural materials, hemp packaging is also convincing in terms of disposal. So it can be stored in organic waste and is completely compostable. This means you will return to the material cycle.
Packed in hemp – high-quality and sustainably shipped
But what kind of packaging do you use to ensure that your products, whether organic food, cooked food or other specialty foods, can be safely delivered to the recipient at a good temperature? Hemp is wrapped in soft wool and provides you with all the advantages of the material already described. Not only hemp is sustainable. The fleece bag is sewn with cotton thread. The carton of the folding box has also passed FSC certification. Therefore, all materials are made from renewable raw materials.
Product packaging is critical to the customer’s first impression. If they have already ordered from your online store, then packing before the merchandise is your first real point of contact with your company. Due to the high quality of the thermo folding box, it also communicates its quality standards to the recipient. Especially due to the smell of hay, it also emphasizes the naturalness of its products. Especially for food transportation, hemp, as a natural product, has attractive and consistent packaging.
Disposing of hemp: creative and ecological
As mentioned earlier, hemp packaging is easy to dispose of in the organic waste. Your customers can also continue to use hemp in a variety of ways. For example, rabbits or hamsters feel at home with new rubbish. Hobby gardeners can take advantage of the insulating effect by covering their plants with cold-proof wool. Hemp is also suitable as a filler for new pillows, proving that it remains versatile even after actual use.
